Who am I?
I am an interior designer. I've spent most of my career in hospitality design, working on restaurants, hotels and resorts. I've also worked on several workspaces and universities.

I am a wife and mom. My husband is my biggest cheerleader, he's constantly supporting and encouraging me to pursue my dreams and letting me know when I get a little crazy. Our son is the sweetest baby boy I've ever known. He's a wild child and I love it!

I believe that people are good. I believe that all people are created equal; that no person is worth more than another. I believe in love. I believe in happiness. I believe I'll have another glass of tea.

New South
Change is inevitable. And despite our reputation for not changing, Southerner's are changing. My husband and I call this "New South." It's honoring the past, but keeping your eyes on the future. New South is putting your own spin on Granny's biscuit recipe.

'South' has always, to me, been a place of mind. Less a state and more a state of being. It's a way of life that is not enjoyed by many Americans. For example; it's hot and humid down south, so we move a little slower. Our words are notoriously short, usually chopping the last letter off, sometimes more. (I have yet to pronounce the 'D' in Richmond) It takes us a bit longer to get where we're going, but we'll have tea and biscuits when we do get there.
While this blog is chronicling my daily life as an interior designer and my personal journey as a wife, business owner and new mom, it's also about who I am as an individual.
